Stefano Clò is Associate Professor of economics at the University of Florence (SECS P/02). His research interests range from energy to environmental economics. His research focuses on the evaluation of market reforms and policies designed to correct market failures, mainly in sectors of general interest, with a special attention to the reform of state-owned enterprises. He is also interested in the economics of innovation and, particularly, on evaluating the effectiveness of different policies and channels aimed at supporting innovation. His researches have been published, among others, in the European Journal of Political Economy, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Climate Policy, Research Policy, Technovation. 

After earning a souble Ph.D. in Law and Economics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and at the University of Bologna, he was researcher at the University of Tor Vergata (Rome) and he worked as Adjunct Economist at the Italian Ministry of Economics and Finance (Treasury Department) from 2010 to 2012. For the period 2012-2016 he worked at the Department of Economics of the University of Milan Stefano holds a Master in Law and Economics at the Università degli Studi di Bologna and a Legal Master (LL.M.) assigned by the University of Haifa.
