Enrolment in the years following the first

How to submit the application for enrolment

To renew enrolment in the years following the first, the student must pay the first instalment of university fees (through PagoPA) available on the Student career management application (access with credentials) from September.

The deadline for renewing enrolment is November (valid both for students without exemptions and for beneficiaries of exemption).

The payment made will be automatically recorded in the student's career within 5 days of payment (it is not necessary to deliver the receipt, which must in any case be kept for the duration of the career).

If the payment is made after the deadline, the student must also pay an administrative fee of 100 euros (see fees and charges webpage); The fee will be available on the student's personal page after the payment of the first instalment has been registered.

If the student is in debt for the second instalment of the previous academic year, the payment of the first instalment is entered in the student's career, but the enrolment is not recorded until the student has paid off the debt. In this situation, the student cannot take exams of the current academic year.

Enrolment with exemptions

For students applying for the ARDSU scholarship, the reduced tuition fee will be processed starting from September and within 10 days of submitting the scholarship application (see deadlines).

For students with a disability or with a disability equal to or greater than 66% or with partial disability between 5% and 65%, the reduced enrolment fee will be processed within 30 days of entering the declaration of disability on the online services Student career management application (access with credentials) (Menu Menu → Segreteria→ Dichiarazione disabilità/DSA).

Students who have been recognized as having a disability (handicap or with a disability equal to or greater than 66% or with partial disability between 5% and 65%) will have their enrolment fee, calculated in a reduced amount, processed within 30 days of entering the declaration of disability on the online services Student career management application (access with credentials) (path:  Menu → Segreteria→ Dichiarazione disabilità/DSA).

The exemption for disability is valid until the deadline indicated in the certificate submitted by the student, therefore when it expires, the exemption loses its effectiveness. In this case, the student is required to resubmit the declaration.

If the certificate of disability (handicap, disability equal to or greater than 66% or disability from 35% to 65%) recognized in the previous academic year has a deadline after the start of enrolment for the current academic year, the fee waiver will be automatically renewed (without the need to submit any request) and the first instalment will be calculated taking it into account.

Students who fall into the following exemption categories:

  • students affected by the 2016 earthquakes
  • students in detention

  • students from developing countries
  • students who are children of recipients of disability pensions

and who have already obtained the same exemption in the previous academic year, the reduced tuition fee will be automatically calculated by the University. The exemption will automatically be considered valid for the entire academic year, without the need for a further request. (see fees and charges)

If the student is no longer entitled to exemption for the current academic year, he/she must notify the student secretariat by the deadline of the first instalment.

Students enrolled in years subsequent to the first who want to apply for exemption for the first time for: students who are children of holders of disability pensions or for an MFA grant, must make a specific request (MOD. IS_05 available on the forms page) to the Student Administration Office, before the deadline for enrolment, after this deadline the student must pay an administrative fee of 100 euros to obtain the exemption and must apply no later than January.
