Sustainability: Unifi Among the Top 300 in QS World University Rankings

The University records an improvement in the Social Impact category

Once again this year, Unifi is among the top 300 universities in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025, which measures universities' commitment to building a sustainable world.

In the world ranking compiled this year, which includes 1751 institutions compared to the 1403 evaluated in the last survey, the University of Florence is ranked 278th, thus re-entering the top 300, and is in ninth place among the 52 Italian universities.

The ranking assesses three categories: environmental impact (comprising three indicators: environmental sustainability, environmental education, and environmental research), governance (backed by indicators such as ethics, recruitment practices, transparency, and decision-making), and social impact (evaluated through five indicators: equality, knowledge exchange, impact of education, employability and outcomes, health and well-being).

Unifi exhibits a positive trend in the Social Impact category, advancing from 215th to 178th position in the current ranking: a progression marked by enhanced performance in employability and outcomes, equality and impact of education.
