Canteens

Canteens and accommodation are managed by the Azienda della Regione Toscana per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario DSU (Tuscany Region Agency for the Right to University Education), which also provides other services and interventions for university students. 

The catering services are aimed at all university students (enroled in bachelor's and master's degree programmes, master's courses, specialization courses, professional development courses, PhD and specialization schools).

Close to the various university campuses there are several refreshment points of the DSU Toscana (directly managed, contracted or in agreement) where university students can have a complete meal, both for lunch and dinner, at reasonable prices. The cost of meals is established on the basis of the ISEE value presented by the student to the University of Florence, according to the criteria established by the DSU.

International students can use the canteen services if they are in possession of the appropriate card issued by the DSU following presentation of an identification document and a document certifying enrolment at the University of Florence.

International professors and researchers can also use the university canteen following a specific certification from the Director of the host Department, to be sent to the DSU ([email protected]), which contains the visitor's personal data and the period of stay and which officially certifies his position in the Department.
