Funding opportunities

To support the planning of its professors and researchers and reward the most innovative proposals, the University of Florence promotes some University calls.

• Unifi4Future, an annual call aimed at promoting participation in the calls promoted by the European Research Council. The call aims to identify researchers, internal or external to the University, with innovative and ambitious project ideas. The winners will be recipients of research grant positions and will have 18 months to prepare their project proposals to be presented as part of the ERC Starting Grant, supported by a dedicated tutor.
• An Idea for Excellence Science, an annual award reserved for researchers of the University with the aim of identifying the most innovative, ambitious and promising projects in view of the presentation of ERC Starting Grant proposals.
• Call for Acquisition of Research Tools, funding for the purchase of research tools conducted in the Departments.
• Call for Competitive Projects for Researchers and Fixed-Term Contracts (RTD), the University of Florence finances competitive projects for fixed-term researchers of the University to support them in the start-up phase of their research activity.
