The University of Florence provides its students with numerous online services specifically dedicated to them. All online services dedicated to students are accessible through the web page dedicated to them.

To register for examinations at the University of Florence, you must use the University’s online portal. Log in with your student credentials, go to the exam section and select the ones for which you wish to register. Make sure you meet the registration deadlines and check that you have completed any prerequisites. Accessing the libraries of the University of Florence is simple and offers many opportunities. You can visit the many physical libraries on the various campuses, where you will find study spaces, book lending, and research support. In addition, you can access digital resources and online services through the portal of the Sistema Bibliotecario di Ateneo (SBA). Each library has its own opening hours and specific services available. For more information, visit the SBA website or go directly to the library to find out what they offer.

A student wishing to transfer from a first cycle to a second cycle programme must already have an academic qualification (first cycle/bachelor’s degree or university diploma) or another qualification obtained abroad that is recognised as valid. 

In addition, it is also necessary to have specific curricular requirements and adequate personal preparation; therefore the student must submit an application for assessment to the teaching facility identified by the chosen degree course in order to obtain clearance to be attached to the application for transfer (for the application procedure, see the requirements on the page Enrolment in second cycle degree programme . Applications for assessment may be submitted throughout the academic year, subject to the deadlines for transitions.
