Research Ethics Commission

With Rector's Decree n. 449/2016, the University Research Ethics Commission was set up to provide opinions on research ethics and integrity, as defined at a supranational level by documents such as The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. The Commission evaluates, from an ethical standpoint, studies that do not include clinical trials, governed by specific legislation, or that are not, in any case, the responsibility of the regional ethical committee for clinical trials.

The Commission is a representative body of the five Areas of the Departments and is composed as follows:

• Biomedical area: Chiara Lorini and Fabio Giovanelli  
• Social Sciences area: Carlo Botrugno
• Scientific area: Ersilia Lucenteforte
• Tecnological area: Giovanni Savino and Caterina Contini
• Humanities area:  Matteo Galletti (coordinator) e Camilla Matera

Requests for opinions must necessarily be sent by the scientific director by email to commissione.etica(AT)unifi.it. The subject of the email must indicate the title of the project and/or the acronym. In case of multiple requests, an email must be sent for each project
