Rector Petrucci in Brussels On 26 and 27 February in Brussels, the high-level meeting "Shaping the future: European universities alliances for a competitive Europe" took stock of the initiative that is shaping the future of the European academic landscape.Rector Alessandra Petrucci, the unique rectors of the Italian universities that are members of European Alliances, was invited to participate in the discussion with the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Roxana Mînzatu. The Rector highlighted the importance of the European degree, the centrality of university alliances as laboratories of experimentation for innovation in higher education, and then closed her speech by referring to the experience of EUniWell, the European Alliance of Well-being of which Unifi is a founding member."The European degree can be a vector to strengthen the global attractiveness of European higher education," explained the Rector. By providing future-proof skills and promoting academic mobility, the European degree provides students with greater preparation for an ever-changing labour market. University alliances - continues Petrucci - represent laboratories of experimentation for innovation in European higher education. Thanks to existing collaborations, joint academic offerings and international partnerships, alliances are key to the development of the Skills Union. EUniWell in particular proposes itself as the "voice of well-being" covering a strategic area for the Commission". Published on: February 28th, 2025
