The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is a prerequisite for participating in initiatives and obtaining funding; It certifies both the quality of the institution as a whole and its commitment to abide by the principles and strategy of modernization of the program.To receive the ECHE, universities apply to the European Commission, guaranteeing that they comply with the fundamental principles of the program and sharing in detail their internationalization and modernization strategy within the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS). ECHE and EPS 2014-2020 The University of Florence has obtained the ECHE nr. 29134-EPP-1-2014-1-EN-EPPKA3-ECHE - ECHE template for the seven-year period 2014-2020, granting the right to participate in the Erasmus+ programme and to apply for funding to the Erasmus+ INDIRE National Agency for decentralised activities and to the European Commission for centralised activities. The ECHE and EPS relating to the period 2014-2020 remain valid for all Erasmus projects activated under the 2014-2020 programming.
