Italian Interuniversity Consortium for Argentina (CUIA)

In 2021, the University of Florence joined the Italian Interuniversity Consortium for Argentina (CUIA).

The Consortium was created in 2002 as a project for the internationalization of the Italian university system, initially between 14 Italian public universities.

Under the coordination of the University of Camerino (UniCam), in 2004 the project became a "Consortium" that aims to promote Italian culture in Argentina through the development, promotion and implementation of international academic cooperation programs between the two countries.

The Consortium has about 30 member universities and is chaired by Flavio Corradini of the University of Camerino.

The Consortium is operational in Italy and Argentina, promotes and supports specialized training and information activities, joint research projects, as well as the mobility of students, teachers and researchers, and in particular, of doctoral students. The activity of promoting and supporting the mobility of Italian and Argentine doctoral students has been recognized in the "Executive Protocol of cultural and educational collaboration between the Italian government and the Argentine government for the years 2014-2018".
