“T-Power,” focused on Life Sciences, led by the University of Florence The Florentine University will showcase its expertise at Expo 2025 in Osaka. A project coordinated by Unifi and dedicated to Life Sciences has been selected for funding by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) to represent the country’s scientific excellence in the Italian Pavilion at the event in Japan. The project, named “T-Power,” stems from the collaboration between Tuscan universities and higher education institutions, alongside the National Research Council – National Institute of Optics (CNR-INO), as part of the “Tuscany Health Ecosystem” (THE). This innovation ecosystem, funded through the PNRR - Next Generation EU initiative, is a unique model of cooperation in Italy, uniting higher education, scientific institutions, businesses, the healthcare system, and local communities.In the Italian Pavilion, the T-Power space will feature permanent video installations showcasing technological and scientific advancements in Tuscany’s Life Sciences sector. Visitors will also have the chance to explore cutting-edge biomedical innovations in precision diagnostics, personalised medicine, robotics, and social well-being. Additionally, interdisciplinary initiatives of international significance will be highlighted, such as the therapeutic use of artistic masterpieces and research on active ageing.The University of Florence is also a partner in a second MUR-funded project, coordinated by the University of Venice “Ca’ Foscari,” that will appear at Osaka Expo 2025. This project, titled “Make Italian Culture Alive” (MICA), seeks to explore Italy’s artistic and cultural heritage through innovative and interactive approaches, while fostering cultural exchange and collaboration between Italy and Japan.
