A high-level training course to create tomorrow’s managers

First call by Unifi and HMR Foundation

An advanced training course aimed at creating new managers able to interpret and solve the challenges of change and complexities of the contemporary world. This is the proposal of the first “Navigating the Future” project organised by the University of Florence and the Hillary Merkus Recordati Foundation. The callpublished today will remain open until 9 September.

The central theme of the course will be free thinking and the activation of talents. The objective is to create a new consultant, manager and talent scout capable of interpreting the new and elaborating innovative solutions through techniques of conceptual, perceptive, imaginative and practical variation, by means of a methodological path aimed at self-learning and self-awareness. The individual to be trained is called Future Planner.

The course will take place from October to December 2024, during five weekends: the first meeting will be held in Florence, while subsequent meetings will be held at the Dynamo Camp Foundation headquarters in San Marcello Piteglio (Piteglio).

This entirely free, residential training course is open to 20 participants from different disciplines. The call for applications is open to students enrolled in a master’s degree course or a PhD course at the University of Florence, as well as master’s or PhD graduates who have obtained their degrees within 24 months of submitting the call for applications. Candidates will be selected through a motivational interview, assessing disciplinary openness, listening and dialogue skills, critical thinking, global vision and readiness to change.

During the course, participants will be divided into four groups of five students. Each will be called upon to develop projects aimed at promoting the activation of new ideas. The most original proposal will receive a prize of €50,000 offered by the Hillary Merkus Recordati Foundation.
